My person-centred and strength-based approach aims to have every young person experience feeling heard and seen. I believe in the power of creativity and that play is a natural form of communication for children. I integrate expressive arts and play-based practices to support young clients understand their lived experiences and inner world. Within the safety of counselling, children and youth have an opportunity to enhance self-awareness, cultivate their resources and to discover new coping strategies.
Expressive Art modalities include: Art, Music, Writing, Drawing, Painting, Movement, Dance, Imagery, Drama, etc.
Play-based Practices include: Sand-tray, creative story-telling, bibliotherapy, drawing, etc.
